"Consumption is the biggest problem but design is one of the best solutions"
Leyla Acaroglu
Italian version below
Designers play a very important role when talking about a sustainable future: we can no longer design without thinking about the impact that our product or service will have on the environment and consequently on our society.
The Circular Economy Workshop focuses on understanding the complexity of the production of objects to better identify alternative and viable ways of designing and doing things, avoiding negative impact on people and the planet with a sustainable and systemic approach.
It’s an online free of charge Crash Course to better understand how design can contribute to sustainability, through an engaging mix of theory and practice done in teams held by Laura Traldi and OpenDot.
The course will take place on October 13th, from 9.30am to 1pm in english and it is part of the project Distributed Design, funded by Creative Europe, to develop and promote the connection between designers, makers, and the global market.
During the workshop we will be touching on the following topics:
> Circular vs Linear
> Butterfly Diagram
> Myth busting
> Systemic thinking
> 4R
> Design strategies
> LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)
> Service Flip
