All’interno del progetto DDMP, OpenDot lancia la Open Call for Designers.
Chiusa la raccolta di bisogni delle persone con disabilità attraverso la Open Call for Needs, ora tocca ai designer accettare la sfida e partecipare alla Health&Care Summer School, un corso intensivo, stupefacente e assolutamente gratuito che si terrà a Milano durante il 2° e 4° weekend di giugno.

La Health&Care Summer School ha come focus il Design for Care, ovvero il design applicato all’ambito della cura e della salute con riferimento alla disabilità. Perchè i designer possono cambiare la vita di altre persone attraverso semplici soluzioni.

La Health&Care Summer School si terrà 8-9 e 22-23 giugno, due weekend tra teoria e pratica, che vedrà alternarsi:
/ lectures: approfondimenti su tematiche quali co-design, Design For All, storytelling e l’importanza della bellezza e della documentazione
/ co-design: sessioni pratiche dove i designer lavorano insieme alle persone con disabilità, terapisti o caregiver
/ training: formazione verticale sulle tecnologie di fabbricazione digitale

Un programma intenso e altamente formativo, parte del programma territoriale che OpenDot applica all’interno del progetto europeo DDMP – Distributed Design Market Platform che porterà alla creazione di soluzioni per l’healthcare attraverso il co-design.

DDMP – Distributed Design Market Platform è il progetto europeo che mette  in connessione maker, designer e imprese, con l’obiettivo di diffondere un nuovo modo di progettare oggetti, per un design aperto e sostenibile. 

13 organizzazioni di 12 paesi (Spagna, Portogallo, Austria, Islanda, Olanda, Danimarca, Germania, Grecia, Regno Unito, Ungheria, Francia e Italia)  portano avanti attività quali workshop, residenze d’artista, summer school, eventi in tutta Europa.
Il progetto propone un’alternativa all’attuale sistema produttivo, poco attento all’ambiente e alla creatività dei giovani: si chiama Distributed Design e si basa sulla produzione locale, su misura, in serie e a basso costo. Come? Attraverso l’uso di tecnologie digitali e le competenze del mondo maker.

Il design per DDMP ha varie declinazioni: riguarda la musica così come la città, l’agricoltura così come l’invecchiamento. OpenDot è parte del progetto DDMP e sceglie come focus il tema del Design for Care, ovvero il design applicato all’ambito della cura e della salute con riferimento alla disabilità. Perchè maker e designer possono cambiare la vita di altre persone attraverso semplici soluzioni.

Within the DDMP project OpenDot launches the Open Call for Designers. After the Open Call for Needs which aimed at collecting the needs of people with disabilities, now it’s up to designers to accept the challenge and participate in the Health&Care Summer School: the intensive, educational and free-of-charge course that will be held in Milan during the 2nd and 4th weekend of June. The Health&Care Summer School focuses on Design for Care, the design applied to the field of disabilities. Because designers can change other people’s lives through simple solutions.

The Health&Care Summer School will be held on 8-9 and 22-23 June and integrates theory and practice:
/ lectures: in-depth analysis on topics such as co-design, Design For All, storytelling and the importance of beauty and documentation.
/ co-design: practical sessions where designers work together with people with disabilities
/ training: specific training on digital fabrication technologies

An intense and engaging program, part of the local initiatives that OpenDot carries out within the EU project DDMP – Distributed Design Market Platform that will lead to the creation of healthcare solutions through co-design.

ABOUT
DDMP – Distributed Design Market Platform is the European project that connects makers, designers and companies, with the aim of spreading a new way of designing objects, for an open and sustainable design.
13 organisations from 12 countries (Spain, Portugal, Austria, Iceland, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Greece, United Kingdom, Hungary, France and Italy) carry out activities such as workshops, artist residencies, summer schools, events all over Europe.
The project offers an alternative to the current production system, which does not pay much attention to the environment and the creativity of young people: it is called Distributed Design and is based on local, made to measure, in series and and low cost production. How? By means of digital technologies and skills of the maker world.

Within DDMP design has various declinations: it concerns music as well as urban geographies, agriculture as well as aging. OpenDot is part of the DDMP project and focuses on the theme of Design for Care, i.e. design applied to the field of care and health with reference to disability.
